About the book

Elephants in the Attic – How could that possibly be so? Where did they come from…Africa? Asia? Does anyone know? This charming rhyming story tells the tale of a young girl and her friend who one day discover two enormous elephants – Beau and Flo – living high up in her attic. Once discovered — these two gigantic pachyderms invite the pair in and share their unexpected tale of how they lost one home, found a new one and – against all odds – rekindled a lost friendship while living in this most unusual living space.

Dedicated to all children with disabilities

At For Kids’ Sake, we recognize the need for increased attention, education and funding to support children with disabilities. As a result, we are dedicating Elephants in the Attic to all children with disabilities who face daily challenges, and who go out each day expecting to live their best lives. We celebrate each one of them!

There are thirteen recognized disability categories ranging from autism to Down syndrome to ADHD to dyslexia. Plus, there are many disabilities which are not yet recognized such as Non Verbal Learning Disability – NVLD – which affects 2.9 million children in the U.S.

With that in mind, we will be donating funds from Elephants in the Attic to hospitals and organizations assisting and supporting children with disabilities. Pictured here are just a few of those kids who are growing up with the care they need every day to live their best lives!
